we meet people where they are.
Every day we reach out to our unhoused neighbors, giving them support and resources to get back on their feet. Whatever their need, from a meal to shower, clean clothes to lockers for storing their belongings, housing assessments to job training, or simply someone to listen, we’re here.

DOROTHY DAY HOUSE
encampment outreach
We reach people who struggle to receive assistance by visiting local encampments. We bring meals, shampoo, soap, wet wipes, razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, new socks and underwear, warm clothing - and even pet food - with us. We also take the time to educate people about the services available at our community resource center, including housing support, and offer medical, mental health and addiction referrals to our partner agencies. Our consistent visits build trust over time and often end the cycle of living in a tent, car or RV for many of our houseless neighbors. It makes us happy!
